Mei Huang is the Founder and Principal  of Viewpoint Advisory, bringing nearly 20 years of experience across energy, technology, government across international markets. 

Her career spans commodity export, energy and climate policy, investment attraction, strategic investment, and corporate sustainability. 

Along the way, she has advanced $650M in investment opportunities, deployed $123 million in economic development financing, and negotiated multi-billion-dollar commercial and export agreements. 

Mei holds an MBA in Natural Resources, Energy and Environment from the University of Alberta, a BA from Renmin University of China, and is fluent in English and Mandarin with professional working proficiency in Japanese.

• 500 MW hyperscale data centre | U.S.-based social media company: Supported site selection efforts for a proposed 500 MW hyperscale data centre project.
• Amazon | Edmonton & Calgary regions: Supported site selection and advised on project delivery issues for two proposed Amazon fulfillment centres, representing aa total of $80M in investment.
• ATCO EnPower | Corporate sustainability & ESG: Led development the corporate sustainability and ESG program, including reporting and governance frameworks, ESG risk assessment, and identification and implementation of decarbonization initiatives generating a targeted 12% annual ROI.
• Government of Canada | $123M regional economic development program: Led deployment of a $123 million regional economic funding program within a $700 million national initiative, providing oversight, supporting strategic investment, economic development and project delivery across the region.
• Palliser Grid | 400 MW data centre corridor: Provided stakeholder analysis for the development of a proposed 400 MW data centre corridor.
