Mei Huang is the Founder and Principal of Viewpoint Advisory. Over nearly 20 years in strategy and business development, she has worked across energy, infrastructure, and technology in Canadian and international markets — advancing $650M in investment, deploying $123M in economic development funding, and negotiating multi-billion-dollar commercial and export agreements along the way.

Her background spans commodity export, energy and climate policy, government relations, foreign direct investment attraction, and corporate sustainability. She works as a momentum builder — bringing together markets, capital, government, and industry to unlock growth for organizations navigating complexity. It's a generalist's advantage suited to smaller, fast-moving organizations that need someone who can move across all of them at once, rather than a single-discipline specialist.

Mei holds an MBA in Natural Resources, Energy and Environment from the University of Alberta and a BA from Renmin University of China, and speaks English, Mandarin, and Japanese.

• 500 MW hyperscale data centre | U.S.-based social media company: Supported site selection efforts for a proposed 500 MW hyperscale data centre project.
• $2B petrochemical complex | Alberta-based energy company: Supported project development and investment attraction for Nauticol Energy’s proposed petrochemical complex.
• Amazon | Edmonton & Calgary regions: Supported site selection and advised on project delivery issues for two proposed Amazon fulfillment centres, representing a total of $80M in investment.
• ATCO EnPower | Corporate sustainability & ESG: Led development the corporate sustainability and ESG program, including reporting and governance frameworks, ESG risk assessment, and identification and implementation of decarbonization initiatives generating a targeted 12% annual ROI.
• Government of Canada | $123M regional economic development program: Led deployment of a $123 million regional economic funding program within a $700 million national initiative, providing oversight, supporting strategic investment, economic development and project delivery across the region.
• 400 MW data centre corridor | private project developer: Provided stakeholder analysis for the development of a proposed 400 MW data centre corridor.
